Mike I am really impressed with that bearing plate took three pinion bearings off no damage on any of them highly recommend it.
 
On a less serious note, I've read 1.6 billion posts about subframe connectors and still have no clue.. For stiffening up a street only car, how large a bar does one need? And does it 'have to be' welded to the floorpan to be of any benefit...
 
IMO - bolt in subframe connectors are fine for a mild street car - anything will stiffen the chassis - but obviously the bigger they are, the more support they will provide
 
There are two schools of thought out there so you only have 8,000,000 choices now.
 
Mine are bolt in but also welded to the attach points. did a major stiffing up on the car. If you go bolt in just make them you prob have the steel there.
 
I had bolt ins on my first Scamp - 318 with a 727 & 8.75 - strictly a street car - the difference was immediate - of course the weld ins are "better" - but they are also pretty much permanent
