Stop in for a cup of coffee

Don't get confused people. It is a technical glitch that will be corrected soon

it smokes just hooking the battery up.....

Electronics run on smoke, not electrons...

If you let too much smoke out of the circuit, there won't be enough smoke left to run the electronics...

Like blood, you can't let too much smoke out, or they won't work...

There is no way to put the smoke back in once it has been let out...

OK off the top of my head from the belve, disconnect everything from the starter solenoid but the main batt cable and the wires to the starter, then see if it still arks. If it does not do what Carl said and then jump the starter sol with a screw stick to crank it.

I think I would eliminate the wiring like Hops is saying. Something in that Dash is shorted out. By the way how long is a short circuit?

A short circuit is less than a foot....

Anything more, and it's a long circuit....
