OK, I am a dummy on this. Never did anything with axles other than change gear oil. What are you adjusting? Does any of this apply to my little 7-1/4? I know Green is/was a brand name, but what is different about them? (Other than they are preferred by tree huggers.lol.)for about $350 you can buy new axles... another 100 and do green bearings.. lose the original adjuster set up
For what? axle position in the gear? So, no shims is all the way in and you set play by adding? How did the others adjust? No adjusters in them Keefer they use shims.
Well quit f'n around and go check it. lol.this is great - we get requests for work via the web (it basically an email program) - this just came over - UnF**kReal..
Women's Restroom, third floor, Faculty reports an issue with the
first stall in the women's restroom, Specific
problem (leak, won't flush, etc.) was not included in the report.

as long as he does that before they are used, no problem, afterwards...... EWWell, at least don't blow them up like a balloon before you do...
yea - you can use the green bearings with stock axles.. it eliminates all the stock hardwareDo the Greens work with stock axles or does that need to change too. I'll have to look at this in my FSM. As said, just never messed with it....
we dispatch the calls to a tech - telling them to "go check an issue" just doesn't floatWell quit f'n around and go check it. lol.
I just got done changing a Flushmate cartridge here.
easier to install?yea - you can use the green bearings with stock axles.. it eliminates all the stock hardware
a lot easiereasier to install?

actually - let me check that.... with the stock axles you would have to leave the thrust spacer in there.. I think that is ok though - it simply takes up space between the axles.. the green bearings are essentially "fancy" retainers for the axles...yea - you can use the green bearings with stock axles.. it eliminates all the stock hardware
noted.a lot easier
I'm a one man show here on maintenance. A few intelligent words describing problem can help. But, most times people don't know enough to tell you what's really wrong anyway. So, unless I can talk to the person reporting it. "please check problem" is often just as good as a long explanation of things they don't understand in the first place.we dispatch the calls to a tech - telling them to "go check an issue" just doesn't float
oh yea - of course Dana's - never done one so it didn't occur to me...
Yay. I like it.huh - yay or nay on the look...
