I'll still snap a pic of it - WTH right?I have a bench type box one works ok, really like that hand held one for under $30, thanks though. I gave one away a long time ago that had a cylinder kill function would love to get one of those again, great for troubleshooting a bad cyl.

Lol that funny that is pretty much what I use mine for and listening to the farmers. I have to set one up in the shop all I need really is the cable and to get on the roof!my best friend and I shared a shop out in the middle of no-where many years ago and we got a base and two portable CB's - we just used them to to contact each other though - mostly setting who's turn it was to bring beer
Growing up I was pretty heavy into them kind of like this site!humm... not sure - I dabbled but was never serious about them -
this is what I was wanting to know more of, I found a box of CBs at the farm over the weekend, including a base unit. Was tempted to play with it as I also have a 30 foot tower antenna tooIt is all about output wattage, they are limited now to 4 watts, some of the early 1960's ones were around 8, you can always add a linear (the pop has one of course) up to 500 watts which is really a lot, I have a 50 watt.
