Stop in for a cup of coffee

If they are worn something is rubbing, never even seen a worn one just bent.
They're worn on the 'handle' part.

Well, the magnets are in the mail! I had to make sure to check that the envelopes wouldn't stick to the metal mailbox before dropping them in. I could just imagine them sticking to the sides and never getting to the bottom of the box for collection...

one huge disadvantage of being my size ....is I don't have enough strength to push cars around and move heavy stuff where I want it. So I have to get creative and figure out ways to let a machine do the work

I am going to attempt to build a set up like this to move body shells in the shop

I am thinking harbor freight has the casters ....then I need, maybe a 4 feet of square tube

I already have the plate metal

I would like to do 100. bucks out of pocket and maybe 6 hours of work

That should be cool, can't wait to see what you come up with!

I think I will build 3 sets ....one set now, built specifically for a 63 to 75 A body car

then later a different set made for B-body wagon size

then a real heavy duty for the polara ...if I ever even get that deep into the polara.

I am thinking the polara is a different deal all together because I am not even sure if the C- body is a full frame or different type set up

Lowes and home depot also carry the casters if you want to price compare.

I have a set of those, fine on a smooth surface. Not so much if you have to run over a bump. Switched my wheels to pneumatic. Cost as much as I paid for the units but easier to roll.

that is good to know but I am thinking of the ones that bolt to the body with no suspension

I am planning to strip them down that far for paint

like this

Yeah, I was figuring with these you could use them both with cars on wheels and fabricate some body frame adapters to sit on the dollies when the car is just a shell. I figured it would be pretty easy to fab up some frame adapters that bolt to the dollies when you want them.
