So my BIL gets out of the hospital tomorrow after his liver transplant. He's doing pretty well, but will now need 24/7 in-home nursing care for the next 3 weeks or so. It costs $1200/day for that and insurance doesn't cover it. Since we are his sole support for expenses, guess who gets to cover that bill?

Good thing I got my first quarterly incentive bonus today...it's going to take all of it just to pay his expenses for recovery from the transplant...and then some.

Why does doing the right thing always seem to be at my expense?

I need to talk to my lawyer about putting a lien on his new liver. Pay me back for my expenses when you get back on your feet or I'm repossessing the thing!
