I get it. We're just a little bit of a different generation, before "metal," so I never developed an appreciation for it.

Oh man he had many good songs, you should check them out. I like "Alabama Rain" and "It doesn't have to be this way" but there are a bunch of other good ones. Or I should say "they" because there was usually another guitar player who added some vocals. They both died in a plane crash right when they were first becoming widely known.

My friend had a four speaker setup and you could get quadraphonic 8-tracks back then, nothing like lying on the shag carpet in the middle of the room and listening to these songs that way, anyone remember those?

That's a shame. They sounded really tight.

I may very well have heard other songs but I think this one was new to me.

And the name doesn't ring a bell. Not that you necessarily know the name of every artist whose music you like.
