Fuel pump?
Never had one make noise before but is possible... i will find the issue once it get the dist done.. it's a very low thunk thunk thunk thunk.. doesn't sound like a rod.. also if it were a rod i think it would have let go since everywhere i go with these gears is 3k+

Kind of funny broomstick story. On the older C-130 external tanks when they put them back together the front fuel indication wiring used to get pinched all the time. I used to take a broom stick and whack them to see if the capacitance changed. Worked every time. First time I did it in Cali the Mil police saw me do it. Took like ten good hits to see if it was pinched. The next thing I know I am on the ground in cuffs they thought I was destroying the aircraft! Pretty funny now that is not in ant book at all. Only shows up in flight also!

that's funny

Prob work if you can hod the housing and turn the shaft. Problem is how to see the degree change on it. Mark the chuck in degrees?

I have. Proved it in a vise, could feel and hear the noise.

So if we all start glowing green soon from nuke fall out, let me be the first to say, you all are the best damn friends a guy could ask for!

Carry on

Poor Quality Assurance with that piston supplier, bummer. I was in a Mopar Resto shop in Olympia, shop owner showed me a customer supplied small block with all pistons installed "backwards", didn't know you could do that, different than what Nick was dealing with but made me think about it
Backwards pistons was a 70s trick for like Hobby Stock Racers.

Like a degree wheel, and do the mathing.
I would look around on Marketplace or whatever you have up there for a old machine. Some are dirt cheap "I need the room" ones. Pretty easy to fix if you really need one. Just different max RPM;s

Gotta get, new hours along with new days to work/be off, now starting 1/2 later don't mind as dark when I get home either way and misses will start working until 7pm soon. I'll be on my own to burn dinner lol!
