Stop in for a cup of coffee

can the Mrs. drive you to work and pick you up? Hell, even being at work would be a bit weird - what if....
Nope but my real dad drives trucks. He's always up at this hour so during my drive, I'm talking on the phone via blue tooth with him for that reason. And I drive the very low travelled back roads to avoid risking anyone else as much as possible.

And if something were to happen at work, i'm 1000 feet from the entrance to the county ER

Let's put it this way. This has got me so spooked that I've finally scheduled an appointment to do my will.

Your Jag does them for you and the wife for free at the base, or any base for that matter, saves a lot for sure.

While your at it. Do a durable power of attorney with someone you trust to follow your wishes to the letter. Including medical. Do you want. DNR.

eChris I would put money on stress with you, happened during the transition between jobs at first, sweating the guard career, etc, Hey I love you man but you do get worked up pretty prematurely sometimes. Funny crap happened to me during a few years of hell with my kid, definite dizzy stuff, evey phone call from home was a freaking emergency, that definitely got my blood going daily, coming home to cops almost daily because my kid called them with make up stories, two or three deployments actually were freaking vacations for me at least you knew what to expect from the enemy, I remember one day my boss was freaking out about my eye, looked like every blood vessel in it burst, did not even know it, it was stress. Seriously just try to be laid back, yes it is definitely not a easy thing to get in the habit of doing, man The house would have to be on fire to really get me going now.....

Famous last words of many. I understand it's a new job, but health comes first.
sitting at home and not working would just add to the stress

You're right. I do stress the small stuff at times. Always have I guess. What's wierd is that I perform better under pressure but part of me is wondering if that's truly the best thing or if it's something I should avoid?

I suck under pressure if she weighs more than 110 I get on top myself!
Just have to learn a different way of doing things, I was the go to guy during a crisis myself but always "tried" to do it calmly, my favorite saying with my guys was "hang on it will be getting stupid around here, just do it and don't ask"
