Hey question regarding jetting. If you are already running lean on the cruise circuit but you downsize the jet and the actual surface area is bigger because of the change are you leaning it out or not? For example Eddy carb, jet size is .098 with a 75/47 rod. I want to swap to a .095 with a 71/47 rod. That actually increases the cruise circuit .13% . Make sense?
It does and it does.

way too teemechmikel for me

Well I have the Slayer Series but in a 750cfm. I was actually considering a Thunder AVS like Ddaddy is using.

Thats only one of my problems... I have multiple. LOL
I guess I got lucky - I put a QF 750 "race" (no choke) on mine, per the folks at the dyno place, and I have never looked back...

like my 360 - I took it to a builder to have the lower end done - primary because I don't have all the specialized tools, but also because I have tried before and didn't enjoy it and I wanted it done right. But I took it out of the car and I redid the upper 1/2 when I got it back and I put it back in - honestly, it doesn't require a whole lot of actual automotive skill to pull and re-install an engine - it's probably 80% common sense, 20% knowledge and skill. Go slow, be careful, pay attention to the details.
Some things I will try to tackle and some I won't - like welding.. the radiator support, not bad, took my time and got 'er done. But a few years ago when I needed a set of spring perches welded to an 8.75, I farmed that out.. because there is a more technical exacting aspect to it and it had to be RIGHT... and if that fails, someone could die.

So your just a 'parts changer' then?:poke:
ask Mitch - there are a LOT of people out there that won't/can't even do that - like the professor who showed up at a buddies garage years ago who couldn't figure out what happened when he tried to take the lugs off to change his wheel.... uh, you broke the plastic hub cap trying to loosen the fake ones sir - no BS!!!!

you've had to do it before?
This is the fourth time I have worked on the tank, the first time I have had a seal failure. I replaced the tank about a month ago
and filling my car up after the last road trip, it started dumping fuel on the ground at the pumps.
I ordered a new tank seal and installed it this morning-moving on to the other irritating things with this car that bother me.

The car is close, it goes to the exhaust shop Monday for work and I have to order a patch cable for my wideband because
the sensor bung is going to be moving and I cant be without the wideband. So I have been researching what patch cable I need
because there are several, don't want to get that wrong too!
