Stop in for a cup of coffee

oh - nothing like buying the wrong part... it's funnest ever - and it sets you back at least a week EVERY damn time.. not that I would know anything about that
Well for good or for ill, the patch cable is ordered. Hope to have the car ready to show by memorial day weekend, going to be close.
I haven't detailed is since final assembly but I do have 1,100 miles on it now. I wish it would stop dishing on me and just run!

not running right? as in how?

so what are you doing?
Not much at this point. Going to go do a little yard work and then go piddle with the vette. It's about ready for final sanding and paint, but they sprung a 4 wheel brake job and caliper rebuild on me last night. Their son is supposed to come over and do it, but that will turn into help me if he shows up

Oh it runs very well, I'm happy with the motor! I am going to adjust the valves one last time this weekend.
By not running I mean running like I want it to, where I would be comfortable driving it to the rock & roll hall of fame
or something equally interesting. Power Tour or such. Like I said, it is close--------------:)

ask Mitch - there are a LOT of people out there that won't/can't even do that - like the professor who showed up at a buddies garage years ago who couldn't figure out what happened when he tried to take the lugs off to change his wheel.... uh, you broke the plastic hub cap trying to loosen the fake ones sir - no BS!!!!
LOL. Just messin with you on the parts changer thing. I get it all to well. I am a 'maintenance mechanic' -forklifts, industrial refrigeration, building etc but not an auto mechanic. Give me enough time and info and I can figure out damn near anything. Have put a few motors together, but this was my first time rebuilding a carb or transmission. Still not sure if I got em 'right'.
As for descending levels of stupid - couldn't tell you how many times people have come to me with 'major problems' to solve. And I'm like "your f'n kidding me. Please tell me you are kidding?!!! Sometimes they are just focused on other things, other times they are just idiots. lol

Wanna Paint another Vette ? Mine's about due...

I still have another hour to go of this OT shift - making $$ sitting on my ***, I guess it could be worse. I sold the race seats today - meeting the guy around 5 then going out to dinner at our favorite local Chinese place

Anyone know the width of an A body at its widest point?!?
