Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning, folks!

So far a very quiet morning at school. I'm starting to wonder if there is a holiday I'm not aware of. No colleagues from my team and only one or two students around.

I got the new booster and M/C set up in the Scamp yesterday - 99% done - - one friggin' brake line adapter keeping me from being done with it and being able to bleed the brakes...:BangHead:

I'm a Proud Dad today.... My two Sons have invited me to play in a golf tournament with them today....

Man what a beautiful drive in this morning. I don't think I seen but three cars. Sunrise coming up in the rearview. Kind of wish I'd gotten pics now. Especially coming over the hills

So. I have a question. I think I've asked this before but what the hay, I can't remember .

I have 3 miter saws that I have acquired over the years. Is there any reason I can't convert one safely to a chop saw for metal use?

I can't see why you couldn't. All you need is a proper blade for it, right?

Btw, I watched the latest episode of Engine Masters on MTOD earlier. They tested straight pipes vs H-pipe and X-pipe with the same mufflers. No discernible difference, like 1-2 hp on top and a few foot-pounds (god, how I hate your units) down low. The X-pipe setup made the best sound in their collective opinion, though.

That's what I was thinking. As long as the blade matched the rpms of the miter, I don't see what harm it'd cause. It already has built in safety stops

man - had me a semi-busy weekend! I left work early Friday to go up and re-attach the front fender flare on my BIL's Jeep and check to see if his Merits scooter really was fixed - which it wasn't, so I had to dismantle it and bring it back home with me so I can fix it. Saturday I worked the OT shift and then we went out to dinner with the two aunts. Then yesterday I wanted to finish some little details on the Scamp - hook up the exhaust to the headers and put the access panel for the trans/engine back in - I got those done and discovered the wifes Jeep had a slowly leaking tire, took that off and put the spare on for her - bringing the tire to a shop after work today. Then I decided to mess around with the brake booster on the Scamp.. like I said earlier - 99% done...

oh yea - in between getting out of work on Sat and going to dinner, I sold those race seats - had to fly home, get them, go meet the guy (about 1/2hr away) and get back home so we could make dinner for 6

It makes me tired just reading this! lol

 - the brake booster was fun - I essentially had to do it all twice. Mounted it to the firewall and the activator arm was right on the firewall. So I had to take it back off - come up with a way to mount it without interference and remount it.. one thing after another :BangHead:

Turning the tv off. I think I have seen that sea lion video 500 times. Slow news day.
