I've been curious - and clueless - about the effects myself. It seems to be very common to add an H or an X these days.I never thought the primary benefit of an X or Y pipe was HP, though it does theoretically improve fuel scavenging a little. But it's more to smooth things out, reducing glug, vibration, strain on the heads, valves, gaskets, shafts, everything, and improve the general engine note especially at idle. 'Cause basically you have two times per cycle when cylinders on the same side fire consecutively, and on top of that, those occur back to back.
we'll be awaiting a verdictIm out of here have a door to take apart...
Got door apart and found the problem. a bolt not tightened. What a SOB to get tightened! Got it but Damn!! Top bolt. BUT whoever says you cant put lipstick on a pig, has never bought a RESTORED Mopar! Its the little things that make the difference. A few things that I have to correct just in the drivers door!we'll be awaiting a verdict

What the guys were saying before the shootout was that there was a lot of (strong) opinions going around on the internet in regards to power gains which is why they did the test.
Yikes.... no way in HELLJust got done reading the stock 340 build in Mopar Muscle. Looks like a good build but I can't believe the engine owner opted for off brand E bay roller rockers. They were cheap but....
The bolt in the middle of picture. Has to be a better way to get to that bolt.
