Brought my brand F car home today, sudzy bath and RejeX polish job and I am cruising while I final detail the Barracuda. Should be ready in about a week. Meanwhile----beer!!!!
 
Probably would work...if they still enough tension in them.

I bet you could bend them a few inches back in the opposite direction of how the tension is when installed and get the full torsion back out of them.
Hmm nope you cannot. will not stay.
 
Aren't the used ones too worn and not strong enough any more???
Strangely not all of them have lost there strength. You WOULD think since they were all built at the same time they would all be in the same condition...

they are spring steel - I doubt they could be pushed back to any degree of usefulness. These cars were all essentially the same dimension wise.. I would bet they are really close..

No, you bend them back and hold them there while you go through the annealing process which resets them in the new position.
