Stop in for a cup of coffee

you all remember the "don't loan out your tools" thread - I had a stark reminder why this is SO true on Sat. morning.. seems the last person to use my flaring tool neglected to inform me that they had broken the post off of the 3/16 flare bit... and OF COURSE you can't just run out and buy just one bit - OH NO, that would be waaaaay too easy... had to purchase an entire kit -- $34 - - no real harm done of course, just "one of those things" ya know...??

LOL that is the part that is ALWAYS broken off!

I am fairly sure it was the same "friend" who I suspect did a tool switcheroo on me... I let him use the garage and have access to whatever he needed because he was in a bind etc., and the next time I went to do something I discovered that several tools were different.. the rotter had switched his crappyish this and that for my good this and that.. then when I called him on it and asked to see inside the tool box on his truck - he wouldn't open it for me.. I never proved he did it, but he never proved he didn't..

I like using metric at home also, it seems more accurate for me to deal in millimeters, than fractions of an inch....
Well yell the truth. You just like the fact it sounds bigger when your she says " OMG, that's 8 mm" instead of when she says "5/16ths of an inch".......:lol::rofl:

Yeah, I know, but most people in the US still don't know much about metric...

I've used it most of my life...

1 mm = .040"

1" = 25.4 mm
The Diameter Of an M&M is over 1cm. This is confusing :lol:
