I actually have one in the shed I used to use to go to work in Cali with, actually put a 2 stroke motor kit on it it is a blast, you can still use it as a regular bike also.

The good thing about these bikes is they are built for the climate here, aluminum and stainless steel, special chain, so the bike doesn't rust.

I need to do a grocery run in the next few days...

I've been able to stretch the food budget with the kids gone... (both are in Detroit hanging with grandparents right now....)
Nice!

The one I have is a Schwinn I believe, the wife has a old 1960's girls Schwinn with a tank horn, that one we found at the dump great shape also.

I think I gave mine away.. we still have the wife's "mountain bike" - been so long since I have dug that thing out... no clue what kinda shape it's in

I got talking to this guy at the local cruise spot a couple of weeks ago with one of those kits on his bike, it was pretty cool... He says that he can cruise around all day on $1.75 of gas and he can easily get up to 40 MPH....

Nice, wish they would make a lightweight, rust-proof bike in the USA, they are all Made In China now (I peeled off that sticker and the one that says WARNING Do not ride this bike until you have read the owners manual.)
