Stop in for a cup of coffee

Im sure I'll be running thru the campground in my undies chasing raccoons, because they raided our coolers. Seems to be every time I go camping. LOL

We used to bring squirt guns and a jug of vinegar, I got the idea when I noticed one time they got into things but left the lemons, they hate anything sour, it's fun to see the face they make when they lick their fur after you shoot them with your squirt gun.

Last night driving home I was really thinking about my Dad...his birthday is July 5. I checked my email and my sis forwarded some photos from the guys who are finishing the last plane my Dad was working on. It is a Pietenpaw (sp?) It was very good to see, my sis let the guys buy it for next to nothing, they are in their 80s so they are likely not going to do many more big projects. They got the wings mounted and did a really cool scalloped paint design, in red, white and blue, and they looked so happy. My Dad's only wishes were that his tools and things would still be used and enjoyed.

Federal agents are here in Chicago to help "crack" down on gun violence....

Eliminate the gang violence and there ya have it

It kinda goes with the bad economy... when you take away a person's ability to support their family and home, they will go to desperate measures...

Give them a job so they have something to loose and they will "follow the rules"...

If you have nothing to loose, then you have everything to gain.... It will make a person do extreme things...

Fix the economy and some of it will go away, not all of it, but a good chunk....

I dont know about you, but Im sure glad im not a young black man living in Chi-town!

Yeah, but you don't want to be the white man wandering through that hood... You will be the next target/victim.... You don't think that they aren't racist....

Not disagreeing at all, with what you said. But you also have to change the mentality. They choose to live that "thug" life style instead of trying to better themselves. Take from others because Im to lazy to go and get a job, and the gobment pays me to stay home.

My ex wife took my daughter there this weekend because her boy friends mom passed away. Yes he is black and from Chicago, and not from a nice area. I worry about my daughter going there all the time. Which is only a couple times a year, but still...

It was no different when I worked at the Prison. 15 years there of hearing how they live and how its every one elses fault but there own. Dont get me wrong I've had some good discussions with some major players in gangs and some are forced into it others choose and some do want out but dont know how. The majority of them though.. Its just the way it is and going to be and they arent going to change.
