QUOTE="krazykuda, post: 1971729389, member: 5141"]Good luck. I hope the deal goes through for you if that car is as nice in person as it looks in the pictures that's a solid car...

A 68 4 speed with factory A/C...

Does that still have the factory cam in it??? Save that puppy... That's a one year only cam just for the 4 speed 340 in 68....

I worked with another member and Oregon Cams to make a grind very similar to that one... It's right on for intake center line, exhaust center line, lobe center, intake lift, and just .006" less exhaust lift than spec... That's the closest to the factory 68 340 4 speed cam that you can get so far....

Why does your avatar say LongIsland??? I assumed NY...

Tucson is still a far away from there..

However you accomplish it, I would go in person and hand over cash after inspecting the car and title...
Well I moved about two years ago next month and I haven't changed it yet I guess I'll get on top of that

Has anyone came up with a 68 340 4 speed cam to copy? I remember reading threads about it. Did you find one and get it done?

I bought a set of 340 cams that another FABO member had custom grind off the factory specs...

One 340 Auto - the standard small block 4 bbl cam from 69 and on for every factory small block with 4 bbl...

Then one to duplicate the 68 340 4 speed cam, which was a one year only cam... Chrysler made the automatic cam standard after 68 because some people complained it was too rough....

The one that I bought was 6° off on the intake center line and lobe center, but Ken Hoard was able to "bump" the intake lobe so now the lobe center lines and lobe center are right on where the factory spec is... Ken at Oregon Cams made a "master copy" that he can now use to make others....

68 340 Auto cam:

268/276 Duration, .429"/.444" Lift, 44° Overlap

68/ 340 4 speed cam:

276/284 duration, .444"/.453" Lift, 52° Overlap.

Pretty much most cam manufacturers make a version of the 340 Automatic cam, but not the 4 speed cam....

I can't believe the "Trailer Trash Slut" thread is still on mainstream. It's borderline Blue Forum.:wtf::wtf:
