Stop in for a cup of coffee

I usually wrench filters just a little past hand tight. Like maybe a quarter turn. I have done the screwdriver through, but really if its that tight it usually acts like a can opener when you try to turn it. Gripping with sandpaper folded grit out, wrapped around the filter can help either by hand or under a slipping strap wrench. My preference is a cap wrench if it has a hex top. The rough coated filters help too.

This is what I use.

This is why I run nothing but k&n golds. They have a 1 inch nut welded to the bottom.

I did notice you looking at the fine foot at breakfast, you need to tell us something there Rick?

Ohhhh I have a damn red squirrel on my bird feeder... Time to invest in a pellet gun! I would load up the AR with the 22 bolt, but Im sure that would be frowned upon.

I gots way too many neighbors for the 22... but i like the way you think!

Same here and my feeder is in the front yard. My neighbor that just moved used to sit on his second floor where his office was, open the window and shoot squirrels. Every now and then you could hear that distinct sound of a 22. lol

I'd be too concerned about collateral damage from ricochets... I'd wipe out all my neighbors!
