Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well, that was a crappy way to close-out the work day. My wife's Grand Caravan died (alternator apparently went out) while she and my daughter were on their way to pick up my mother-in-law leaving them stranded on the side of the road in the sweltering heat with me an hour away. No taxi services could get there sooner than an hour and the tow truck was also an hour away.

I hauled butt to get there as soon as I could and arrived at the same time as the tow truck. I put the girls in the car with AC on high and then got the GC loaded up on the tow truck and on it's way to the shop. Then we drove across town to get my MIL and then back home...2 hours after I left the office.

The worst part is that the rest of the time I was going to put in at the office before coming home is now piled on top of the time I am already going to be working this weekend. :BangHead:

speaking of messes - I just looked out into the garage - thank God I moved the car and the bike out of there and put up those tarps - what as mess!

yeah - I had a pretty good idea I was on the right track - once you said it was a good idea, there was no way I wasn't doing it
Another thing...Do you have a crawl space attic? If you ever go up there, watch your head! New nails are likely in different spots and possibly longer.

WTF?? The tow truck picked up the GC 2 hours ago and still hasn't delivered it to the shop 10 miles away! Reputable local towing company and the shop is open and waiting for it. No answer to calls to the towing company. I can't imagine anyone wanting to steal a 13 year old minivan, I wonder what the hell happened??

we do but I rarely go up there - maybe three or four time in the 10yrs we've been here - pretty much dead space to me
