I'm not in the group but I have lost 10# in a couple weeks. I blew it last night. Too much pizza.
 
I have to vent a little. There is a blue Swinger in town with Cragars on it. It really is a clam. It has a thrown together 273 that the guy painted and didn't even mask anything off. The car has changed colors 3 times and none of the under hood, door jams or trunk has been painted. He brush painted the inner fenders under the hood. He sprayed parts of his interior etc, etc. He won 2n'd place overall. He has 15 or so friends with him that vote for him and that's how he does it. I get a little cranked out of shape when he wins (and so does everybody else). I don't need trophies but when this happens it makes me not want to go to car shows around my home. Rant over. Here's a bunch of cars he beat out. Sorry but I don't have any photos of his car. I will have to take some next time I see him out. bear with me. They are on my phone.

If he really needs a hunk of plastic that bad let him have it.
Car shows that the public vote on are mostly all a buddy thing. Sad to say but even a lot of judged shows are the same way.

Pity that guy. Imagine how bad his life must be that he needs to go to that length for false praise and recognition.

I was in a car club. First year I went to one of our sponsored events and won best in show. I asked the guy why he said he just liked my car. Next year won again 3rd year he comes over and tells me I'm getting it again. So I asked him to please give it to someone else.

A few minutes later a club officer comes over to me all smiles. I just came out of a meeting on trophies your not getting one this year. so I told him your a little late with that news I already told the business owner I didn't want it.

Well I didn't get best in show I got best in class same class as the club officer who got zip. Funny as hell.
