Just got a call from Mitch, he's passing through on Thur. (My PM box was full - I cleaned out a few spots now...)

Sorry Mitch...

Sounds like fun!

Any of you ever rebuilt a power brake booster? My new on has an intermittent leak and it is new, somewhat bought 2 years ago. Will only let the pump go to 5 in

No, I think you have to take it apart and replace the rubber diaphram in it...

Karl you will have a great time with Mitch, That's what I was thinking now to find a diaphragm for it it is aftermarket 9"

Have to look, it is 8" not 9! Just pissed me off, part of the brake problem I was having.

I met a local member here a few days ago with a 69 Dart that had power brakes. He mentioned that he just had his original booster rebuilt. He sent it in and they fixed it.

I have his number if you need me to ask him where he had it done...

Can you still get rebuild kits for them?

I've never taken one apart... :???:

I'm not sure if you can get rebuild kits for them, but I just met a guy that had an original one rebuilt for a 69 Dart as I mentioned in my last post...

I was just looking the kits are 49 new booster 69, flex seal 9.99! Really cant afford to send it out.

If you try to fix it yourself and mess it up, we will question your manliness and revoke your man card as you can't properly use a rubber.... :pale:

LMFAO I gotta go sell some tools. (speaking of tools) lol Good day you guys!

I have never even thought how one could fix a brake booster because I have never had a old mopar with power brakes.

I would think its a very rare option and parts are probably hard to find. Even my wagon being the huge car it is, has manual brakes.
