Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
Should be pretty dry till I get at it. Kinda chilly today though. Since the car is only halfway in, the door is wide open - hope it don't get windy. Pretty wet and raw outside today. Gotta get this done and the weathers not cooperating. So, just do the best I can...

Sounds like you need a sheep to keep warm!!!!

#60dart, how is the weather in Sweden today? I just noticed your location.

Thank you for asking! Fall has started. Overcast, 50 F, a little windy. It's sctually still a little warmer than usual.

But I'm in the south of Sweden and it's a "tall" country so up north they should already have some snow in places.

Hey Anders, looks like your box is in Virginia. Don should have it today.

Not still drinking coffee are you, it's about dinner time there isn't it?

I was actually just having a cup when I posted that. Usually have one cup in the afternoon.

edit: now I have a glass of red beside me instead.

That sounds awesome! I think I've got most of what I need right now covered so in a couple of weeks I will be a happy wrencher! :D

Hey guys, Mother Nature has given us some excitement, days of heavy rain, roads are underwater, and more rain to come. Lucky my place is on pretty high ground, unlike much of Charleston. I rode with neighbors in their SUV to get some groceries, through some deep water, my car wouldn't have made it. The forecast says we'll have 20 mph winds, not too bad but all it takes is a tree limb to fall and we lose power.

Can I ask a question here?

Are there sheet metal parts missing in this picture? I've got a feeling there should be something between the radiator and the fenders.

Yes. the lower valence panel that goes across the front under the bumper between the two fenders...

Didn't some people call you paranoid about a week ago when you predicted this??? #-o

Just saw some video from SC on weather channel. Looks like you got it pretty heavy. Stay safe and somewhat dry.

Yes i am drinking coffee again....
CV axle done. No sheep were involved. LOL

Went fairly smooth. Took my time and still was done wrenchin by just after noon. Test drove and seems good. Took a while to clean up (car and tools). that really makes a mess when the boot opens up. Of course i had to take the boots off completely and see how they work, adding to the mess. Lol. I probably could have replaced the boot and ran it. Not sure how the replacements go on. If its all got to come apart anyway i dont think its worth messin with the boot. The axle was only $70.

To keep you up:

I saw this in Estonia this summer. I'm thinking this is what Roadkill should do next.

It's pretty nice in the rear seat for a Pro Street.

Ya think? It was truly awesome. Unfortunately my phone went dead pretty soon after I got into the actual show area. Only got a few snaps and none of the awesome GTS that I think finished pretty high in the competition.

Good morning. Interesting they call that the American Beauty car show. Is that a boat trip for you? Same weekend as Carlisle. Maybe travel a bit further next year and take that front valence back with you..

Yes, we took the boat from Stockholm over night. Brought the car.

The Rolls was an exception. The rest of the cars were all US, a decent selection of restos, a few racers and a LOT of vans full of finns having a (very) good time in the camping area.

The actual competition part of the show is held inside the old catle ruin. Very nice, well worth a visit.

I've heard of Carlisle a lot on this forum. I suppose it is a big thing. I'll google it properly.
