Sometimes it's a curse.I have pump envy
Envious as well...I have pump envy
HAEnvious as well...
But it would still be the most un-used tool in my house..
Looks like a gyroscope to me.
I don't see the trim that was to be in the trunkAlso I got the trunk open. I'd sprayed it with on blaster yesterday and let it soak over night, opened right up with the key. Then I cleaned it out. 4 feed sacks full of trash... trunk floor as expected is TOAST. But the trunk gutters are perfect. And they must not leak at all as the seal looked good (like its been replaced at one time) and everything was nice and dry with no snow or ice

No but I did find an old Naval gun trigger in there. There are plenty of them in Iraq.
I haven't seen one in years
center is clear, almost like it's a camera but no place to hook wires too.Is the center clear? Have you cleaned it off to see if there is a bubble in it?
Do I have to take a guess. Or will you give me one.
I never take what's not mine.
I have a guess
nope. I thought that too but it's not.Looks like a gyroscope to me.
Eh I don't think so. I cleaned it up a little bit and found a Us Army stamp around the inside of the bezel.I thought it was a tire balancer
I took it out. There was three pieces of the door trim that was missing. But the head light trim and rings are MIA. As well as 2 other pieces of door trim. That said, I have roughly 85 percent of all the trim now.I don't see the trim that was to be in the trunk
Now that makes sense.I did a little searching and it may be the leveling assembly of an old bomb sight used in WWII (Army Air Corps).
Nope. I think it's some sort of sight."Eh I don't think so. I cleaned it up a little bit and found a Us Army stamp around the inside of the bezel. "
So...Maybe an Army Tire balancer. Does it have fluid in the center with a bubble? It might not be but it looks like a field balancer.
Two. One in the trunk and the other still on the car. Why?Are there 2 sport mirrors or just the one? Remember I was the first to ask
I was wondering that. It does have lenses on both sides. I sent a message to the PO, we'll see if he can tell meI did a little searching and it may be the leveling assembly of an old bomb sight used in WWII (Army Air Corps).
Now that makes sense.
He can use it on the tire in the trunk.I thought it was a tire balancer
That thing is Toast. I don't know how it shredded like thatHe can use it on the tire in the trunk.
That’s called extreme tire failure. It can happen from being run under inflated. The tire may have been dry rotted too. That thing is Toast. I don't know how it shredded like that
Or burnouts lol. That’s called extreme tire failure. It can happen from being run under inflated. The tire may have been dry rotted too.
That was my first guess but I couldn’t find a reference to confirm it.Haha when in doubt, ask my grandfather. Dude was a tank crew man back in the mid 70s. Guess what, he walks up, picks it up and goes, "hey look a gunner sight from an old m60 Patton tank" sets it down and goes back to watching TV.
Unlikely...unless they severely over heated the tire in which case it would have been ripped off the rim and in far more shreds.Or burnouts lol.
Yeah I just tried googling it but couldn't find anything. The VFW here in town has a pair of M60 pattons I'm gonna go look at sometime. May donate it to them to put in the display case if they want it. I ain't got a use for itThat was my first guess but I couldn’t find a reference to confirm it.
Yeah. For sure.Unlikely...unless they severely over heated the tire in which case it would have been ripped off the rim and in far more shreds.
That tire is a blow out.
It would make a cool door stop.Yeah I just tried googling it but couldn't find anything. The VFW here in town has a pair of M60 pattons I'm gonna go look at sometime. May donate it to them to put in the display case if they want it. I ain't got a use for it
Of course, you might also find someone restoring old armor that wants it too...Yeah I just tried googling it but couldn't find anything.
