What are we looking at? Are you lifting your dart?
It's the Watts Link cross member for the Gerst Rear parallel 4 link with Watts link for the dart. I'm re-mocking it up. I had every thing clamped in and ready to be tack welded but I was double checking and noticed the axle was too far back. So took all the clamps out and am remeasuring

Honestly, I need to find someone who has a factory dart with a 8.75 and find out exactly where the factory centerline is. Nice part is, I can adjust the axle forward or backwards with the links slightly but I want to start with every at factory specs. I've debated moving the axle back an inch or so to give me even more clearance for the bigger tires . Which since I have to have a custom driveshaft cut anyway, isnt a big deal

Also I got the trunk open. I'd sprayed it with on blaster yesterday and let it soak over night, opened right up with the key. Then I cleaned it out. 4 feed sacks full of trash... trunk floor as expected is TOAST. But the trunk gutters are perfect. And they must not leak at all as the seal looked good (like its been replaced at one time) and everything was nice and dry with no snow or ice

Did you figure out Falling Rocks yet.

So popped remaining freeze plugs.looks pretty good. No sediment. Will have flex plate tomorrow, can check the torque fit up.If i dont have to pull crank, will install timing chain and start assembling. Looking forward to an orange engine....

Rocks ??? I Like Rocks !!! LOL... or is it woks ????

Falling Rocks was a young Indian brave , Who wandered off and was never seen again.
That's why you see the signs by the road to this day. Watch out for falling rocks.
I was just trying to help Chris.

Not the first time i heard that today. Then cam bearings, rings,a big ugly bumpstick and so on...
Nahhh,Budget build. Im never gonna race it. I plan to drive it to the coffee shop and ice cream bar. Parts hauler. For new parts only. This is a resurrection for lack of better words. One of four i need to get done.

What reference points do you still have on the body to measure the centerline from? Are the front Spring shackle mounting points still intact?

I was going to go from the front shackle mounting point to the center of the axle. That was the only way I could think to measure it since no 74s came with an 8.75

There is no help for me

Ok. So I have a mystery item. Let's see if any of you know what it is. No markings, no part numbers. Nada it's a heavy sob for its size.
7-8 lbs, about 3-3.5 in diameter, 4-5 inch tall
