Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey... I got no side work today... I'll be assembling the rest of the 383 engine ...
That's always exciting. I talked to my friend that bought my stroker. He got his cam and is looking for heads. He is getting so pumped!

What's the title issue?
PO had paper on the car with a credit union that went down. Neglected to follow through and attempt to get a title as
the car still had a financed balance. Now the car is just rotting away, I think I could get it cheap and take up the title
issue with the WSP. Thinking on it------------------DR

Ok smart guys, not being sarcastic.
1982 318.
Had manual transmission. Just a pilot bushing.
Looking at transmission, the piolt is much larger than bore in crank.
Crank not stock? Or from older engine?

Some awful crude machining there. Now,i’m sure it will fit in my lathe to bore it out some.consider im in the wrong place to just go and buy what i need,so machining crank or torque is my option. I thought the torque would be smaller pilot. It appears not.
Options?
This is a good time to sort it out i think.
Thanks in advance...
Or suggest a thread i should jump into.

Make a new bushing to the size you need and install it?

Just came in from the shop, dam door paint looks different from the rest of the cabinet, oh well have new paint on order. Hope it matches the cabinet, this is the fourth gallon so far in a year. Man it should tell me something but NOT! I am SUN addicted!

im confused, the transmission that came with it is a different size pilot bearing?

Well, I'm not understanding how the engine and transmission, if they were previously mated, would have even gone together if the input shaft is larger than the crankshaft pilot bearing. Which means 1 of a few things. Either they were never together, or the input shaft was too short to ever hit the pilot bearing, or the input shaft was cut because they couldnt get it together.

DING DING DING we got a winner. I have seen some seriously "how the hell did it work" stuff in my life.
