Stop in for a cup of coffee

The scamp is really growing on me.

I actually have one mounted on the firewall in my GTS, that is gutted, and wired direct, behind, where you can't see it. Thats because I was running Pertronix Until it crapped. Now I have points back in the dizzy, and I put a normal resistor , laying next the the wired straight one, plugged into the harness, just for use with the points. I'll pull it off when I put the Pertronix unit back in the Dizzy.....

IF you ran a wire from the batter to the coil and bypassed the resister but didn't remove the resistor I can believe that. Hell I believe everything you say .But try removing the resistor and using the hot wire I am just saying it will burn things up .I don't know why everyone just refuses to accept the fact that the resistor on a mopar has a function
FOR testing. Will eliminate that from the trouble shooting equation. I am trying to be helpful here...

What's a pertronix?

Go to orielly auto parts website and search 121G in the parts number search... DO IT

Keith...are you listening? I am an old fart and have had many MANY mopars and have replaced many of them. The first place I look

Keith are you reading this....A grumpy old man I am.
So if I understand this right, you are suggesting that the resistor could be bad?

Hey Keith, the electric slowblower worked like a champ in the heavy wet snow today. I remember you asking to let you know how it worked back on delivery day.

I have an odd distributor,im suspecting its for an industrial application. For a 318.
No advance. No vac can and no mechanical. I have no idea what its from. But it is electronic.
Was gathering parts, doing inventory of sorts and came across it.
I have 5 alternators to choose from. Maybe 6. Gotta trudge out into the great white yonder to check. Only 1 starter.

Thought i had a pile of water pump pulleys,no luck so far.
Small diameter deep pulley,
Guess im cutting and welding. Easy. Trash an old pump to make a jig in the lathe.

The guy I did the red Dart image for came back and asked for a different hood scoop and a few other changes. No problem...

Also, now that I have done these t-shirts for my daughters volleyball team I may consider adding a shirt option to next years calendar. Get your months image on a shirt for around $15 (my cost) plus shipping. What do you think?

Or lean burn? I'm trying to remember, but I think that had the advance in the electronics.
Whatchya building?

IMO you're both correct.
If a resistor is opening up, a jumper across will resolve the discontinuity. It will run fine.
However, the ballast resistor does help protect the points and the coil. Point everyone knows. Coil will run hot, especially at low speed.
With electronic boxes, some also used the ballast, or second ballast resistor, to reduce the current to the box.
Same deal with Ford & AMC through to EEC IV (aka TFI).
GM's electronic was different in that the HEI module regulates the current flow both internally and to the coil.

How about any month? or the cover art?
I think its a cool option.

That'd be SWEET!!!

Hey didn't you say you had a wall map of the old us routes like 50, 66 etc? Or knew where to get one?

Pretty much any image. Since I know how good these iron sheets are now and can print them using my inkjet printer...the sky is the limit!
I want one with my avatar you made for me!

Oh yeah, and like my daughters volleyball shirts, I can put images on both sides for only a few bucks more!
