The thing with precious metals to me is that having SOME money in them isn't a bad idea. They are a decent hedge against inflation mainly. That said, I would not rely on them for a long term retirement type plan. But if you can get in when they are low and wait it out a few years for the next recession, which comes around about every 10-15 years, at which point historically, precious metals sky rocket briefly, then you stand to make some good gains.

I lost $60,000 in 2008. Once I felt the bottom was near, I saw that as a buying opportunity and did so. Last year alone I am up 25.6% in my investments. I LOVE the roller coaster because that's where you make big money.
 
Only 40? Wow.
It's 31 here. We are supposed to average 12 to 15 below average temps for the upcoming week.

It's like operating a large business when you are busy you make big money when thinks slow if your not careful you go south in a hurry.

-17 and fog.
Snow in the forecast. I had 4 people tell me i should pull the plow off my truck. I’ll show them.
With the wind on monday,we had a good drift build across the road. I have been pushing through it with the plow,spreading it instead of making a bank for more snow to drift in.
My best friend is the public works foreman,i could just tell him, but the plow will make it worse if it gets windy.

Business is picking up,next week is booked. Springtime brings on the brake jobs and wheel bearings.

Lost wire for a few minutes. Yep winter here was half way decent the last few years, but we had more of a winter this year.
