Settled down, power stayed on.
Guess im going to fire up generator later,check the gas.
Wonder if it will run an air conditioner...

Depends on several factors but usually no. Not unless it's a BIG generator or one with a heavy continuous load rating
Well after the wrong one,and two defective ones. finally got a compressor that works.

Its really a non issue. Was a dumb idea that popped into my head.

What is the outer ring around this ball joint. I want to remove it. Other one did not have that ring so was able to get kroil in and came apart fairly easy.
Looks like that was what held boot on.

Sandpaper. Any type of paint stripper will eat the plastic.

A low pressure media blast? Kinda risky.

Got er apart. that's all it was. I was just overthinking it... Brought it in work to put in a big vise. Busy with actual work stuff and started thinking 'what the hell is that for?' when I shoulda just got at it with more power. LOL

You can try denatured alcohol.
Brake fluid or easyoff oven cleaner. WD40.toothpaste.
Actually some bathroom cleaners or cleanser with a soft brush work.
Best to try on a small area.
Think toothbrush.
