Stop in for a cup of coffee

So prepping firewall and area around cowl vent.cleaning the paint out of them little vents is a royal pain. Slow going but i dont like to see the flaking paint in the vents. Scrape most of it off with a utility knife, a small found file and
Some 220 grit to clean up the remnants.

And compression for fuel line? Not my choice..out with tubing cutter...

yes,its will need a pair of 10 psi residual valves and will have to fit it to car. Thinking the prop valve from the duster should work too.
As i plan to add disc brakes to the front as funds allow.
I picked up a set of A arms, spindels and disk brakes for my duster at Carlisle Thur, going from 4 to 4 1/2 and 15” wheels. looking for axles out of a 489 c-body for the rear drum brakes.

Its slow,but still making progress

guessing it was repainted at least once.
Fenders are a mess...

Rear 7-1/4” is 4-1/2 bolt pattern, previous owner drilled the fronts. Will see.
I may convert to disc sooner than later.

Went to Oldmanmopars’ Wednesday eve and picked up a complete 4spd conversion setup to swap out the auto tranny in the duster. Gonna be a busy fall this year!

It's certainly a fine day for a motorcycle ride. Glad I did. The goal of the ride was not accomplished, but it does make for a fine reason to take another one :D

Same. I think I have all the major body panels purchased now, probably take a couple days in early October off and push through getting them welded on. Still trying to decide what to do about the front rail

Tim got here around 11 am and we have been just hanging out bullshitting most of the day. I think the weekend finally caught up with him and he’s crashed out on the sofa now getting a good snooze.

It wasn't extremely hot but the sun had some power. I have been nodding off all afternoon.

Well the cowl vent kicked my butt.
I refused to quit until it was done and hit with etching primer.
From what i can tell it has 3 layers of paint. And the sandpaper hates it.
I popped the fenders off,and see a few patches. Some mig and some brass. Need to clean inside up before i touch the outer part.

That’s what he said. For all he knew there might have been nothing more than a 6x6 wooden post in that blanket!
Hoppy said he, or they(not sure) were plotting. If everyone wasn't busy with Carlisle he would have had one of the ratty barracuda bumpers from his part out all wrapped. Tried to convince me that he ran over it with the truck when I first got there. (I wonder where he got that idea from, maybe another recent experience? :poke:@halifaxhops ) I'm sure if it was Wolfie's bumper it would have been done. But likely far worse. Probable a blanket full of rust scale.(no secret that Hoppy is plotting a comeback- I believe Wolfie is up on him by 2 unanswered) LOL

I'm sure the last week has worn him out

HOPPY had a plan for you and the bumper. He just didn't have the time.
Tim and I if we were lucky got about 5 hours sleep a night.
When I last saw him he was outside in his sleeping bag.
Good thing he changed to the truck.

Yes I got HOPPY. But I will let him tell you in his words.he actually made it much better.
The gag had a hidden surprise. And he didn't realize it till the Banana fell off.:rofl::rofl:
Like I said he has to tell the story.

Oh , I already heard it, and saw 'it' when I picked up the bumper.

Priceless I couldn't have planned that.
Ray is a great guy, and friend he will get even someday.
