Stop in for a cup of coffee

It been a stupid crazy work week, so Friday night pizza turned into Sunday night pizza. Waiting on it now.
 
So a few weeks ago I started a thread about towing with a van

I had a line on a 76 Dodge van with a 360....3/4 ton chassis. Was a passenger van but I had so plans for it.

The van was parked right on a highway and I had seen the guy out mowing his lawn in the mornings. So I got my cousin to go ask about it because the guy was kinda big and scary looking from far. So we offered him cash, but he said he didn't have the title and it would be coming in the mail any day. So I didn't think much of it and the van remained for sale with no movement. So about three weeks after that we contacted him again. Again the same thing and the title was in the mail. blah blah big reason why.

well it is now 3 weeks later and the van still sits and still no call from him saying he has the title.

He tried to make it seem like he has a waiting list for it.

Well, I really wanted it but today I spent the money and I am moving on. …...and the van still sits :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Sounds like he's giving the run-around...

It's best to pass on this one.... Something sounds suspicious... :mob:

yea, he wanted $7 fiddy for the van and that would have been a smoking deal because it has original faded paint...so there is clearly no bondo and underneath was totally solid as I would expect for a local vehicle around here. It had a miss but did run.

Oh well, now I can get my Cuda together and put the rest into it

I didn't think it was a bad deal considering it comes with the shifter.

Shipping was really high :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

That is the disadvantage of being wayyyyyy out west. Half of you coffee people could have gone to pick it up but I have to be way out with fivel going west LOL

The seller has a ton of parts for a 66 cuda. Me and my cousin called him on the telly phone ….he sounds nice. So it should all be ok
 
Dragged my buddy’s 69 gmc into the shop, got back wheel freed up and bolted on the aluminum wheels that were on it 20 years ago.
Turbines. Now its at least a roller sitting properly on all four’s out in front of my shop.
This time when we go at it on this one, we have way more tools and much improved skills.

You can still collect parts/think about other projects. But seriously, if you pic one to COMPLETE you will be glad you did. I had many unfinished projects over the years and as things changed, I let them go for one reason or another. I made up my mind to get the Duster 'done'. I will continue to make improvements ( Changed the front bumper today). But having it back together as a complete, painted car is just an awesome feeling...

You may have checked, but fastenal has good shipping rates.(according to hoppy)
Its a shame they wont ship across the border.

I actually am ….I am focused on the valiant but I saw that deal as a good deal that may not be there later so kinda had to jump IMO

But really I am only wrenching on one car and that is the valiant
