Stop in for a cup of coffee

You can still collect parts/think about other projects. But seriously, if you pic one to COMPLETE you will be glad you did. I had many unfinished projects over the years and as things changed, I let them go for one reason or another. I made up my mind to get the Duster 'done'. I will continue to make improvements ( Changed the front bumper today). But having it back together as a complete, painted car is just an awesome feeling...
As i was driving to town today i was thinking along the same line.
But 1 car i always wanted
Another i drove my wife to hospital for our first child
And another for our second child.
Those are three i want to get done.
Shop projects, buildings that need maintenance and a 9 acre yard.
Lots on my plate.

You aint in Canada...
well that is not fair to Canadians eh

Before I joined this site, I used to sell on ebay (back when people weren't trying to get rich on junk) and I refused to sell to Canada because then I had to do more paperwork and it was a pain. So I can see where it was a problem but I would think nowadays (10-15 years later) there would be an easier way.....

All the more reason to pick one to focus on first. Stash the others somewhere they are not deteriorating, but out of site. Maybe make a want list for each that you grab parts as the deals find you.

Nope. From what I see, it has gotten worse. I have sold/shipped to Canada. Unless it's something really special, it is rarely worth the shipping to send across the border.

I am actually slimming my goals down. I have a 75 duster and you were a huge inspiration as to what it could be. Unfortunately, the car is almost too far gone. It came from the Dakotas and has more rust than I am used to. So I am going to have to give a proper funeral and put it down. If it were my only car I would charge on but I also have my demon waiting for attention. The problem with a 74 and newer is if you get a basket case, it will cost way more to fix it than an earlier car like the demon which has more of a re-pop market following. A 74 and newer anything is really a labor of passion nothing more.

Put it down as in part out? There is definitely a different definition of what is a project and what is a parts car between rust belt and not. BUT, if you go part out, let me know...

I have bought from people here and shipping hurts.
Have sent stuff and its no deal either.
When i find somethingand it comes out cheaper with freight its a no-brainer.

Yes I meant part it out. If I would have built it, it would have been cheaper to have used more common and more available earlier parts which defeats the purpose of a later car.

Not urgent to actually get it here, but my number one want list item now is a nice back bumper with bumperettes. I'd like to get another license light, but know someone who has an immediate need for one...

So the funny story OMR was referring too,
I had a nice original Swinger emblem, a guy asks me how much?
I said to make me an offer.....
He gives me the "you are trying to rip me off" look
so I said I would sell it for 10.00 Dollars....
He said it must not be any good, it is too inexpensive...
:BangHead::lol:
So I said what if I had said it was 50.00, would it be a better part?
He said, well, YES!!!
No kidding, Ray was sitting there....
Not like it was a electrical part, it was just a emblem with all the tabs/post there.
O and I sold the part later for 20.00.
What a world...

As far as I can tell, the license light changed when they went to absorber bumper. Specific to 75-76 (maybe 74) Plastic, so they are often damaged. I repaired and am using my original.
