Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yet another 318 build thread. LOL I suggested the new member use search and do some studying first. I see he's studying.

I'm still waiting on the boss to get home.
She'd better hurry, Taco Tuesday at the local sports bar.

Sounds like fun.
It is usually 10-12 people I use to work with at the PD. They are all still working, close to retirement, nice to keep up on what's going on.
Cheryl was at the DA's office for a few years, so of course they all know her too.

Hey Mike, buddy who got the 69 Swinger has what looks like a wooden MOPAR shifter knob with the R 1-4 normal marking on his four speed.
Is that right, or an after market thing.

I don't know for sure. I will have to poke around.

I just Googled "69 Dart 4 speed" and I see white, black and wood look. More wood look though.

The squirrels around here have been ripping the acorns out of the oak trees in our yard.
There was 3 critters working in the yard. Couldn't get them all in the same photo. No wonder why my yard is so rough. It rained 1 1/2" today so the ground is pretty soft.

The crows here are following the squirrels around and digging up the acorns they bury. Makes the squirrels crazy!

I don't think our hurricane remnants amounted to much of anything. Was wet most of the day yesterday and this morning, but hardly any heavy rain. They were calling for 2 inches. I would be very surprised if we got half that.

Dig a hole in the ground, drop a shipping container in it so that it’s 2’ below grade and cover with dirt. Add a set of steps down to a door and put a closable steel cover over the stairs along with a couple of fresh air vents. Instant tornado shelter.

Also doubles as a nice root cellar.
Them things would rust out quick.

So I did something crazy today.

Now before anyone says you don't need another project, it's not mine and I didn't pay for it, merely agreed to haul it. A nice older gentleman was wanting to give this car away, to someone worthy. I have a friend who got pretty tore up in Iraq, twice. Talked to the gentleman and he's giving this old Dodge to my buddy. Surprised my buddy with the news, getting it Saturday. Buddy is thrilled. Decided I'd donate one of my many engines and transmissions to it as well.

Pretty neat old dodge

It was like Christmas because I had bought more parts from the same seller

Those are 72 A body buckets in there and there were a lot more goodies to look at :D
