They had a little issue at The World Finals in Pomona. A single engine airplane landed/crashed in the pits near the shutdown area. No fatalities, well that MoFoCo pickup may be dead. Plane was attempting to land at the airport right across the street from the track. Pro eliminations are delayed.

I had a 66 Newport all door back in the day. Just one of those $100 beaters. Damn we had fun with that one. Great snow cruiser for bar hopping! It finally met it's demise. The front transmission seal started leaking bad and I drove it until it wouldn't move and then called the tow truck. It was done!

I had a 70 Imperial And full of guys and we were going bowling and drinking....I thought I would be cool as I had many times before and turned the key off and then turned it back on. Only this time it blew the whole exhaust off and I swear it lifted the car off the road. Had one heck of a time getting the remains out from under the car without tools. Plenty of laughs that night
