Motorcicle flat track races are callin' me from Ventura. Gettin' home at midnight and not havin' a wingman is making the call pretty faint.
I like flat track racing but agree mid night would suck.Motorcicle flat track races are callin' me from Ventura. Gettin' home at midnight and not havin' a wingman is making the call pretty faint.

Would love to be there as a wing man. My only problem would be I would be more hydrated than you. lolThe Silver Bullet in the fridge just made up my mind for me.
I've got the AMA Sacramento Mile scribbled on the calendar in August.
That's an overnighter for sure.
It's kinda dicey staying properly hydrated at the track without a DD/wingman

Would like to see you ride, been a long time for me. I liked trials riding and hill climbing but last time I tried to pull her up on one wheel I crashed. Well more than once and don't heal as fast as I use to.My wingman has blood sugar issues he's always designated. I only recall having to press him into service once after a day/all day at Famoso and the Fuel and Gas Championships.

I liked going fast and spinning the back tire when shifting but always got me in trouble trying to power it around a sharp corner on gravel. We used to play at the abandoned oval in Barstow when we were kids .. Lucky we weren't arrested .. Loved the sensation of speed. Desert riding was OK, but that speed, talk about a drug. Got too busy, my folks weren't real keen on motorcycles to begin with, then the work thing. But that is still the only motorcycle racing that really gets my attention. An HDR I worked with when I was an apprentice did the hill climbs, on a NITRO burning Triumph. Wheelies were just never my thing. I am envious of those with the ability, but just not my thing

I still like to ride the dirt but been a few years. Almost 63 so I might just get me a mini bike and call it good. lol

Last time I tried that I ended up off the track picking rocks out of my back side.I always liked that "Steer right to go left" thing. Still do.
Looks yummy, glad you didn't get shot by one of your students.
View attachment 1715367230 I know it's early but my son just bought his first plane and flying it from California back here to North Dakota. Just talked to him and he's over Casper Wyoming and doing fine. I am nervous like most parents so time to sip a bit of Crown Royal Apple and keep my nerves numbed down a bit.
LAMO For sure Unconventional Dam kid is gonna give his old man hemorrhoids. Now there's something not every parent can say "my son just bought his first plane"
That is pretty cool
I can see the initial test ride.
Flying low over the Dakota flatlands peacefully enjoying the scenery.
"Oh Dad, something I want you to see."
Quick flip of the flaps and stands it on the wing tip pressing Fred against the window in terror.
"There's that Dart I was telling you about"
Sounds like my wife. lolNo yummy drink for me yet. Scheels sporting goods is hosting a dinner for a bunch of us that assist them with their shooting events. They cook for us give us blah blah speeches. All in all a fun night, but no adult beverages until we get back home! Wifey however decided I was driving and is 3/4 way done with a bottle of wine! She rocks!
