Having a shot of Revel Stoke whisky for Memike.

HA!!! this is turning out to an awesome Friday night

I have been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out what is wrong with the clutch in my 69 dart.

The clutch fork kept coming off the throwout bearing and then you would press the pedal in and it would move the linkage down to the fork but the fork wouldn't move the throwout bearing in.

I thought pressure plate?? throw out bearing itself, even tried two different ones.

even tried a different clutch fork from another car.

turned out to be the pivot was bent and I have no idea how it got bent outwards (used parts)

it was bent outwards just enough to be a problem but not enough to be obvious at first glance.

tried a different pivot from another car and problem solved. :D:D:D

Congrats of the fix m'lady. Always great to finally find the root of the problem and end the frustration. I think the burger might have provided you the inspiration!

bye bye problem .....dang this one had me running around in circles for a few days and seems so simple now that I know what it is. Without knowing it was sure a frustrating job.

Any chance you got a 318 flywheel floating around in your massive inventory af cool mopar stuff?

a zero balance 130 tooth 10 1/2" ...unfortunately no.

I might have one soon because I have one that I was thinking to modify for use behind a 360 but I have not decided if it is an easy mod or if I would be better off just getting a new mopar performance 360 flywheel ready to bolt and go. Just..... 300 big ones for a new flywheel is kinda like mehhhh............ that's a lot of bread for a flywheel IMO

300 bones is a lot of jack.. that's why im shopping slow and early. See if i can find an od bell housing and a flywheel without taking out a second mortgage. I do love my cars to have 3 pedals...

small block OD belhousings are getting mega hard to find.

I bought one from brewers because at the time I needed it ...I couldn't wait and needless to say it wasn't cheap because brewers is full on retail....definitely no buddy discount there.

but you would think they would be around out of 2wd trucks and vans and F-bodies .....yet they rarely come up. #-o

I just checked and brewers has a listing for one at $279. but it shows out of stock which doesn't surprise me after what I went through to get one.

a used one is probably going to run 2 - 250. IF ....big IF you can find one

I hope I am making you sad now lol

I gof a couple yards our here and every now and then they turn up. It's just matter of leaving work long enough to get the stuff. Actually had a yard crush a 74 duster during our busy season. 8.25 disc brake car. Could have had all i could pull for 150 bucks. Just couldn't leave work. Enough to make a grown man cry.

well I will keep my eyes open for you ......you never know. I have had people bring stuff to my house to see if I know what it is and there have been times some really odd stuff popped up.

I'm a patient guy. I'll find what i need. That's half the fun of this hobby. And i think youre only 'kinda' evil now.

Got a teen and a 904 to slide in for now. Want to convert that to od 4 speed with 3.55 rear. That drivetrain will eventually go in a duster or dart sport. I have a 340, 4 speed and 8.75 w/3.91 that will end up in the notch. Seems like that leaves me 2 really fun cars. With the scout and a motorcycle, i should be pretty well set.
