Enjoying a new brew tonight. Ive always been a fan of imperial stouts. Weyerbacher Old Heathen is one of the 'locals'. decided to go up a notch tonight and got a case of 'Heresy'. This is Old Heathen aged in whiskey barrels and man is it GOOD!

Very interesting that you say that. I was a t a friends house the other night and he had some brew called Red Rambler. Apparently the micro brewery is here in Iowa in a old Rambler dealer building. On the label is a red Rambler wagon done like a cartoon. Their signature beer is aged in oak barrels from the Templeton Rye Distilleries in southern Iowa. The brew reminds me of scotch with a little bubble. The smoothness of the beer and the taste and bite of the oak barrels. I like it!

Yum! I have sirloin gettin happy served with caramelized onions and Gorgonzola cheese. I am going to wrap whole green beans with bacon and grill them till the bacon is done. Baked spuds or maybe bake a sweet potato.
