Here's an old pic of my ex-street racer '67 Barracuda, soon to be reborn. That first picture of the flamed Dart on the very first post on this thread, that's kinda similar to the look I'm shooting for.

Well someone brought my Cudas here, yes that was in 1976 gold 72 and the Cuda convertible in 1979 paid $850 for the Cuda convertible had to use a touch to get the lock nuts off on a set of slots. Had the wheels from other cars I had bought

72 Barracuda was a nice clean 318 auto car sold for $2,200 only had a month or 2

my 1st car, paid $400 in 1974 was light blue and been thru a fence, $200 paint job and lots of changes from time I got it traded for a 69 Roadrunner

was a 383 4 speed car from factory in 1975 it already had a 440 auto installed with a 6 pak hood
would HATE to have to lift the hood off today just to check the oil, back then thought it was COOL

bought in 1978 for $1550 72 340 3 speed manual from factory had finned front drums and the ET wheels would not sit down flat so they were on for this picture only 10" rear ET wheels and M 50 tires

67 Formula S bought for $125 in 1977 engine had spun bearing and been hit in front, put a 340 init and 72 Duster interior

My FAVORITE truck run it on propane that I wanted to put Powered by ProPAIN on the front fender since it really was a pain in the ***
Since I grew up with cars that are now concidered street freaks have to say, still like the look
The Nomad pulling the custom Nomad trailer was at the south bend Indiana ISCA car show in 2000

the car I fell in LOVE with in 1971 this 1967 GTO started life as a turquoise with painted white top 389 powerglide. it got wrecked in late 69 or early 70 and was disaasembled and built into the show winning GOLDEN GOAT. It won the ISCA in 1973 as POINTS CHAMP in Las Vegas, #1 in the country, then in 1979 he was able to show it again and again it was #1 in the country for the 79-80 season
Jerry bought this car done and it was delivered to his house on a raining morning. I was 13 and riding my 60 cc Chibi motorcycle. I had never seen anything like his in my life. Didn't know what it was, a drag car, what was it. I didn't know anything about show cars, but I learned. Since Jerry and Barb lived 2 houses down from me.
In this picture he had made it driveable and had taken it to a local show.
One day in the mid 2000's Jerry had taken 5 of his cars to a car show just a few miles from the house. His daughters and son in laws helped get the cars there. It was HOT that day and I was working in the yard. So we stopped working and went to check out the show. The show was about over and Barb said "How are we going to get all the cars home?" I raised my hand an said I would drive one. Barb said " well you love the Goat so you can drive it home"
so after drooling over this car for more than 40 years I got to drive it.

Nice! I read about this car in Hot Rod... It was basically a street legal Super Stock Challenger... Awesome!

Actually the lisk challenger was more pro stock than super stock.and yes tim some of the badest in the land bar none.
