Car looks cool but I have a question...

It is my understanding that using lowering blocks with SS springs defeats the purpose of SS springs.... True? False? Maybe?

just sat it on the tires this morning

You can buy the adjustable front spring hangers to lower the car without blocks. 002/003 on my 64

Ditto That! 275-50-17's on 17x8;s with 4.5" bs, everything clears fine on an a-body width dana. I installed the adjustable brackets, and they lowered the rear to ~28.25" from ground. Look at the comparison photo below of the tired 36 year old 340 springs to the new SS ones.

Sitting high with -02 and -03's, 3200lb springs, the ride is not bad though:

I have 275/60/15 on my cuda in which they are 28" in diameter. I have a little over a 1/2" right there in the picture. The axle could go back towards the rear of the car would help out a lot.

I was thinking of somehow moving the rear end back 1" in order to center the wheel up in the fender well. I pretty much got it figured out but the only concern I have is yoke coming out of the transmission will move out of the transmission 1" without lengthening the drive shaft. I could have it lengthen but I'm not sure if it would really hurt anything.

Anybody got any opinions?
