Looking forward to that one! I had ordered a Hellcat crate engine for my '65 Barracuda in June 2015, but after several delays, and despite the fact that I was supposedly number two on the "worldwide list", I got a refund and went in another direction, with a 433 c.i. aluminum 3rd gen hemi with dry sump system and Hilborn stack injection. In retrospect, I could have waited for the Hellcat crate, but I'm almost at the same horsepower level, and about 200 pounds lighter on the front end. I avoided the auto trans headaches by using a Tremec 6-speed with PPG sequential shift conversion. Other goodies include a full frame with cage, Detroit Speed front suspension, independent rear suspension with Moser center section and differential cooler, Alcon brakes, and a few others. I don't have your skills, so I cheated and sent it to Hot Rod Chassis and Cycle for the transformation. It's almost done; shooting for SEMA in a few weeks.

Wow. I can't imagine that turn of events! Good Luck on the next project, I will definitely follow your work. I am still trying to make even a little progress on the Yard Dart and will continue to reference the Valiant build. "Crate Hellcat and 8-spd"!! sweet Jesus!

Definitely a shame that you didn't get to enjoy it for at least a summer. Always best to sell it while it's "fresh" though. Congrats!

You'll find the later A body a skosh easier to slip that Hellcat into it. Hood clearance may be interesting. What do you have planned for controlling the 8 speed?

Thanks byken! Bittersweet indeed. It's in great hands. My new project will start soon!
WOW, I loved this! I do feel a little like I was binge watching Netflix though and I got caught up but the series was cancelled lol Can't wait for the Barracuda build now

I havent read through much of this build thread.. but why didn't you use standalone software for the NAG1? there are a couple options to pick from.

I have a lot of dealings with the Nag1 (722.6) as I am a Mercedes swapper as my other hobby.

What has become of this car? Do you keep in touch with the owner?
