i have just looked at your whole tread all i can say i wow. I have had my 64 for about thirty years it started out as a 6 and has has a 318 a 340 with a four speed now its a 360 auto and I'm thinking of the Hemi swap. i just can't believe how awesome you have made this car i know how much of a pain it can be to work on the early A bodies well done sir I'm just totally blown away thank you for sharing your work

Wow. Thanks for the kind words. The car is currently in prison at the transmission shop but I think it’s in good hands. Can’t wait to get back at it.

Agreed, outdamnedstanding work!
What did you do re: controlling the NAG *and* did it work as you expected?

I asked because a few minutes ago, chatting with a guy doing a 6.1 in a B-body who was SELLING a NAG1. He said he gave up on the NAG and is installing a 4L80E (!) because it's a simpler swap... wow.

Thanks, man. I'm using the Hotwire set up. Struggling with the NAG1 but am determined to make it work!
Any updates on your progress with the NAG1 and making the Valiant street ready? Absolutley
gorgeous build. The vision, workmanship and the final result are second to none! Thanks for sharing the build with us.

Still in tranny hell. I'm about ready to hire the chief engineer of Mercedes Benz to come and figure this out.

I got the car back! Shifts great. 5 shifters, 3 modules and 2 harnesses later.

I'm having an issue with throttle response. It seems to lag a half a second or so behind. Sometimes no response at all. Amy ideas?

Man, you are really going through it, first with the shifter and still dealing with the throttle issues! You will be able to open a 3rd gen hemi swap consulting business when you are done. I know there is some tech guru out there who can cure that throttle lag, but not this old man!

Major update. While the car was at the transmission shop, a customer saw it and made me a great offer to buy the car, unfinished. We made the deal this past weekend. He's been through this thread. I asked him to keep it going.

Looking for my next project. Going to stay with an Early A-Body and Gen 3 hemi. Peace out.

Congratulations I don't know that how you wanted it to go but everything has a price. Good luck with your next project

You must have been unbelievably frustrated to send the Valiant down the road at this late stage of the build! I feel for you, it must have been a difficult decision at any price. I would have loved to hear the details of the shakedown and cruises yet to come. On the bright side I can't wait to see how you are going to top the details, thought and workmanship that went in to the Valiant on your next project! I hope you share that one with us as well, It's great inspiration for the rest of us.

Wow! Disappointed for you that you didn't enjoy the finished product after all that nice work, but I'm sure the financial compensation made it worthwhile!

67 Barracuda. Crate Mopar Hellcat, 8 speed, ... . Will start a thread soon.
