This Never-Raced, Original LO23 Dodge Dart Is Going To Auction

-
Regardless of if it is ''as advertised'', it's still a cool part of Mopar history.
What it sells for is none of my concern, and if it goes for 350 grand, it will be to a rich guy that will put it away and never drive it.
These kind of cars are completely out of my league as well as most of us.
However, as for prices of '67 to '69 Darts, it might affect the prices.
A lot of people see the original rare car go for 350 grand and want to sell a rusty /6 '68 Dart for 25 grand because it's ''almost the same and could be built into a 300 grand car''.
In recent years, I have seen '67 to '69 Darts increase in value.
What are they actually selling for as opposed to the asking price?
I'm not sure, but I bet the cars are appreciating more year to year in general....

Ha! It lost $25,000 since the last time it sold. Or -8.4% in value.

I remember seeing a Hemi Dart that was restored to factory specs. It was for sale and they were asking 10k. I remember thinking that was a insane price. You could buy a Hemi B body back then for $3500....LOL

That would have been early to mid 70's??

In primer with black front end? What form of "restored" was it?

Friend of my dad's restored the Yellow Hemi 68 S/S Barracuda shown in the Anthony Young book "Hemi" in the mid 80's. Not many were restored to that level then. Of course the level of restorations have risen since then.

I wouldn't doubt that it went for that price because it leaked out that it wasn't as advertised....

That Internet Magazine article was the one that was bogus.

The Mecum listing did NOT say it was never raced.

It went for about what Herb McCandless Jr said it would. And sounds like about the same price it sold last time for?

71 Hemi cuda hard tops and very nice well doc 70 Hemi cuda 4spd sell for the same money or more.

It was a real sale. A friend Daryl Klaussen bought it.
