Thinking about installing a tilt column in my 73 Scamp. Having a Kustom shop helps but was wondering if any of you have done this and what kind/ brand of column you used. Appreciate the input.

I will be using an early 80’s M Body tilt column in my 65 Dart. Will also being using a combination of the M Body and Dart harness to make the ignition switch snd turn signal switch on the column function

I used a Flaming river drop in for a B-Body. Fell right in other than shortening the D Shaft. Do not use a cheap aftermarket tilts like Helix or anything like that. Stick to OEM, Ididit or Flaming River.

I bought a 28 inch long one off ebay. It just barely comes through the firewall. I did this because I am putting a magnum , complete with factory f.i. in it. I am also going to try to use the drivers side magnum exhaust manifold. Using the short column may have helped. Most of the columns are chevy based turn signal switches. I just cut the turn signal harness from my stock dodge wiring and connected to a gm rectangular plug that I got from a junk yard. Instant adapter harness.

Even the mopars with factory tilt used GM columns if I remember correctly, so realistically any aftermarket gm style column should be pretty straightforward to retrofit
