There is one thing I can see different in these items.
The Car will get you from point A to point B.
(At least in theory. See my BJ survey thread).
If someone is looking to something for a return on money, sadly that automobile may or may not be the best choice. Sorry. Don’t kill the messenger.
On the other hand your house is a necessity first and an investment secondly. Nice if you can get both. But not required.
Don’t see “automobile” defined necessarily as an investment.
