Tragedy doesn't bode well For Craigslist

-
messed up deal right there.. love to know what the hell led to them being killed.

not the first time someone was killed from answering a craigslist ad.. gotta be careful man..

I hope there's a place in Jackson for this guy and they fry him.

Do they still do that in Jackson? I thought Reidsville was it now. Either way, I hope whoever did it doesn't get the benefit of our tax dollars the rest of their life, but with our liberal justice system, that's a fat chance.

This isn't the first nor will it be the last time something like this happens. So sad but true.

Jackson is still active.

The last execution there was on the 13th of this month. ( 2 weeks ago, today).

Awesome. I think they should do it at the local level. Like the jail where they are first arrested. Once tried and found guilty, cya, wouldn't wanna bya.

Nah, they'll spend 20 years and a few hundred thousand tax dollars trying to fix him. :banghead:

I don't think the "him" involved is the one who did it. At least they have not even gone there yet or even close. He obviously tried to deceive though. Ain't lookin good for him for sure.

A real shame for all involved. Article said the young man comes form a good family. They even cooperated and got him to turn himself in.

When you are going to buy or sell anything and don't know the other party always meet in a public place. The parking lot of super markets, fast food, auto parts stores, Don't give out your home address or home phone at first. The less they know about for a while, the better. The time will come when you must have a face to face and even have them come to your home. Do a quick background check on them if you get any bad vibes. You blood family and you HUGE FABO family want you safe and back on line in the next few days.

P.S. Hug your spouse and them you love them.

Yep, this is horrible. There's little chance of rehabilitating someone that does this. Quick and severe justice is the best solution.

Absolutly have to use common sense, but evil will allways be part of our world... I also think there is probally more to this story that hasn't came out yet, will be interesting for sure.

I also think that anyone who gets sentenced to more than one lifetime should be (turned off) instead of given room and board for decades at the taxpayers expense.

Certainly. And large and repeated drug offenders too.

My guess is he told them to bring cash. I don't pay cash for big ticket items and usually don't go alone to make deals. There's a lot of messed up people in this world anymore. Don't get me wrong - there's lots of good people too, but this is unthinkable in my mind!

Looks like now he is being charged with the murders. They say he shot them both in the head.

Scary stuff and sad. Looks like posting "wanted" ads is bringing bad people around...even here on FABO scammers hit members who posted wanted ads....

This is sad. I never like to see these types of things, but it happens alot more than most of us probably know.
I have "Never" done a Craigslist transaction without being in an open and well populated area.
My friend I work with comes from another country and he has explained that his country has zero tolerance in crime.
He said you can watch public executions on Wednesdays in the towns square where he used to live.
He explained it's a great deterrent to anyone who thinks about committing a crime.
I know when I was in Japan in the navy a guy showed me his pinky finger that was trimmed short for theft when he was a young man.

And make sure your 40S&W is locked and loaded

Going to meet a stranger with a pocketful of cash exposes you. Bring some friends, pack some heat, meet at a police station do something to limit your vulnerability. Do not be naive, the world's a dangerous place.

I've done tons of craigslist transactions, I'm 6ft 250lbs, and I still always bring somebody with me!

I've never had any problems except one time. Saw a car listed for sale, went and looked at it, made an agreement with the seller, and told him I'd be back Friday morning to pick it up. All was good! Friday morning I hooked up the trailer and started heading his way. I gave him a call to let him know I was on the way and he didn't answer. So I left a message. I continue driving. About 45min later, when I was almost there, he calls me back furious! Here's roughly what he said, "What the hell are you trying to pull?! You better not step outta your truck into my drive way or my wife will shoot you! I've already called her and told her to be ready!". I was completely stunned! Apparently he forgot I told him I would be back Friday to pick up the car, and went into work. When he received my message that I was on the way, he assumed I was coming to rob him and rape his wife!
