What I’ve noticed happens here, a lot more often, and on way way more threads is....... any type of tech thread gets totally derailed by either drivel that has nothing to do with the main topic of the thread....... or questions about something that isn’t really at all what the thread is about.
Then before long it’s 20+ pages of crap someone would have to wade through if they were trying find out any of the pertinent tech info that was posted and happened to actually be on point.
And then, someone looking to post about something that is actually related to the thread topic figures....... eh, why bother.........It’s morphed into another ***** fest.

You’d think these “discussions” could find there way to a more general forum instead.

Isn't that what the sticky part is for kind of?..

Here's the car ,
Right now
408, eddy heads, 11:5 compression , Lunati 60405(currently), dynamic 9"4300, 4:30 gear, 28"tire, 150-200 shot nitrous (haven't sprayed yet do to valvetraine issues) best time 11.64 N/A @3800 feet , poppin/rough above 5800rpm. 3/4 down track starts poppin all the way threw the lights.
I'd say that's not bad for running like **** and N/A with a hydraulic flat tappet And mild ported Eddy's.
I'd like to get it into the high 10s N/A. One day...

Nice looking car, I love it. High tens? I think you are only a set of springs and a converter away from that with what you have. Thanks for posting a pic.

We went from a 4400 stall to a 5600 stall in my sons 360 Duster and picked up .50 in the 1/4 mile.

Definitely not switching the converter, just got built. The converters set up for nitrous and Street use. I gave the Frank Lupo guys my setup and this is what they built. PTC wanted to do an even less of a stall but they didn't get back to me till after I'd already made the deal with dynamic.

Beautiful car ! Yeah, get that rev thing fixed and hit it with that shot and you're there...

I'm gonna get off topic here, but any idea what my eddies could be worth? My boss is building a duster and wants them for his 340. Lol he just messaged me....
Eddy 60179, looked over and hand ported...

My question is how much do you have into them now? EVERYTHING.. the gas and time to take them here and there how much you gave in trade to have them grinded on ect...

I think I'd get the issues with the current combo sorted out before I spent a bunch of money on parts.

My 340 with ported Edelbrocks and a hydraulic cam ran 11.60 @ 116 (1/4) on pump 93 at 3240# with 4.30 gears.

The same heads freshened with 2.05" intake valves on my 408 went 6.57 @ 104 (1/8) on pump 93 at 3260# with 4.10 gears.

OK... normally aspirated, under .570 lift flat tappet hydraulic with 9.5-10.0 compression.
Should I use studs or bolts to fasten the heads?
not sure you got an answer, but because the LA really needs that 5th head bolt. I would run studs and the best gasket you can get on any performance build.

I.got the heads at cost, heads to buy at parts shop here new is $2100 CAD

Well I'm switching out the camshaft the valvetrain anyways. Like I said I'm not ripping it apart twice. Thus fixing the issue.....
Nice E/T. Were the Eddie head cnc'd?
