Trick Flow small block heads

That’s if THAT mod works on the Victor, a different head. Probably will, but....

Whats the difference in fastener length? I'm assuming longer.
Whats the over all valve length?
I hope they make an offset intake rocker version in the 220 cc range.
The oiling on a Magnum block can be overcome with some creative plumbing. https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/1351725.html Not telling you anything that you don't already know, just putting it out there for those that don't.

I don't know the actual fastener length, because I didn't open any of the fastener boxes. Injust ordered what Howard said was required so I would have them when the heads arrived. When the stuff got here, I checked out the heads a bit, and then started shipping to customers. That being said, they are likely the same as the Magnum heads for length. I just haven't had time to investigate further.

I should clarify, when I said "unusual valve length" I was referring to availability in that configuration. I use Ferrea almost exclusively for stainless valves, and they don't have a valve in that length with a 11/32 stem. They are pretty much a W2 race valve length at 5.200", but not a 3/8 stem. The closest Ferrea shows is 5.160". There may be something else available, but on short notice, I haven't had time to dig deep.
On the Magnum oiling, yes, there are other ways around it, but most people aren't as creative or initiated as yourself.:D For most Magnum builds using this head, I'll use the pushrod oiling with an oil through rocker, unless I have an unforeseen problem. It won't be the HS rocker though, and will mostly be a rocker on the market for many years. No need for a "special" rocker when others are available.

The more the word “Special” pops up the more people are turned off by a part. I hope these aren’t to special of a head.

No, not at all. I just wanted to note, that the LA head bolts and studs would not work, and possibly not the Magnum stuff either based on the email I got from Howard. If I wasn't so busy with other things, I'd do some investigative research. Bottom line is, they have hardware available, and it's ARP stuff, so it won't be an issue. Most guys building a nice motor would use ARP anyway. For those who wouldn't, maybe, just maybe, the Magnum stuff would work.

A small hidden cost for what will probably be a great product. I sure like the looks of the exhaust port compared to Edelbrock heads and copies.

Agreed, if a $75 set of head bolts is a deal breaker, than one needs to find a different hobby. The pics IMM Brian posted on Facebook look fantastic. Finally an aluminum LA head with a good looking chamber and ports.

I agree with that but how many times will it be that?
At this head level I think 99% of the people that are going to use this head have a idea that it just is t a OOTB onto the engine and run that afternoon deal with OE parts on top of it.

I'm a little slow sometimes. Just to clarify even further....even though the rocker stands have been moved, these heads accept commonly available LA rockers? I'm not saying the OEM stamped stuff, but the various aftermarket shaft mounted roller stuff? We're not tied to a non-standard rocker design like the W2 head is?

Nope, rockers that fit a pass car head, or Edelbrock performer type stuff is what works. But, you will not be putting stamped rockers on this head. It is made for the 99.5% of enthusiast/builders who will put a performance rocker on a performance head.

No, I was excluding the stamped and even the OEM iron ones from consideration. Not having to drop big bux on a bespoke rocker system is what I was counting on. Thanks. I've already started saving my allowance.

I wasn't insinuating that you wanted to do that. It was more of a dig at the aftermarket heads that use the stock shaft locations, when they were designed for non roller rockers. You can put stock rockers on an edelbrock and it will work, but they won't like the TF heads.

I am wondering if anyone has put these on a flow bench and have posted the #s ect. Thanks!

Anyone have the prices for these yet? I know I saw some prices a while ago but wondering if anything changed. I wanna say $1900 for set with hydraulic roller springs?

Not that I would ever do it LOL but Summit has a 100.00 off 1000.00 going on right now. A thinking person could buy one head and either wait for the next sale or have his mother order one head. In my book that would save 200.00 or pay for the needed stud kit. Hmmm.

Don’t see why that would not work, thanks for the heads up.

That's a good idea. I'm not sure Summit has them listed yet, but if they do, that's a good option. I can also save guys some money if they are buying multiple items in a combo because I can get around the minimum advertised pricing guidelines. Like, who wants to put those old nasty valve covers on a shiny new set of heads.
