That's getting it done considering the weight that most people over look.If you don't mind sharing cam specs, compression, rockers, converter.I have a 91 Dakota my son is now racing and probably switching to tf in the winter.Mine weighs 3040lb without me,sm block, iron heads and no roll bar yet.We are also in maryland but race at md.Nice truck.

Damn that sounds lite. Have you done anything to lighten it up? am building a 91/96 dakota to race. Mines a 91 sport frame with a 96 cab and bed. My truck is pretty much gutted. So I hope mine is that light when I am done with it. Got any pics of yours

Ditch your factory box and fab up some lite side panels so it still looks like a truck.
1997-2004 Dodge Dakota Bedsides
Interiors weight alot too.

I would like to be lite but I like having it like the factory made it for the most part. It has full interior, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors and a radio. I drive it on the street some.

Gas or Alky?

Buddy that i mentioned a while ago finally got his 12 to 1 ish Trick flow stroker out on the street for a little testing. Still has some odds and ends to finish up, wiring and such
Car weighs about 3100 with driver, maybe a hair lighter. 264/268 flat tappet, 727, victor, 750 carb
They previously had a 440 in the car that ran 10.40’s
After driving it around now, he says it feels stouter.
Will see in the next few weeks at the track. Hard to tell on the street, but having driven the car both ways... interesting observation

Got it to the track yesterday. Got a good hit before brake line leak ended the night.
Went 10.63@ 125 off the trailer. Only 1.50 60 ft.
3000 ft DA
