Yes it is a cut to fit. They do have the same thing ready to go for a Mustang, different part number though.
 
I like it! It's actually the first custom dash Ive seen here that I would buy....Really appreciate the fact that it's metal and NOT PLASTIC!
 
I just ordered my Fuel Cell. 25 1/2" x 20" x 10 plus the sump 12"x12"x2" = 5388 CU In x .0.00432900433= 23.32467533004 Gallons. I got it with a 0-90 Ohm sending unit. I had to get a custom tank or build one myself because of all the stuff going on in my trunk. I had to have it turned the other way from the ones you can buy pre built "20x24" is how they come. I also had 10an Fitting instead of 8an's put on it.

So I have 3-10an fittings in the sump. 10an return, 8an Return and 10an Vent. This way I can upgrade to whatever I need or want later.

Very nice work,but costly for sure. The nice stuff is never sheap..At least they are made right here I hope?

Yes built in the USA! I got prices from 399.00 to 750.00 to build this tank. That is why I almost did it myself. A sheet of 5051 .125x4'x10' Aluminum is $150.00 sending unit $40.00, Fuel Cell Cap $40.00 and 5 Aluminum an Fittings are about $30.00. So I would have had $260.00 in parts but would have had extra material for another 2 tanks. Driving to pick up material. $50.00 for fuel, so that is right at $310.00 plus my time to pick it up and build it $200.00 per hour, you get the picture. So I went with the guy that looks like he does the best work. I paid $450.00 for the tank plus shipping so a little over $500.00 total. Should be a sweet tank when its all done.

Plus so you know the pre built tanks are using .090 thick material.
 
man this thread is like ****, i just keep comming back to read more, you have done one of the best jobs i have seen, the pictures, and the dialog are great , i was going to build a simple 450 HP dart but NOW !! this has me thinking about just saying F it and spend mo Money, anyway keep it up it's people like you who take the time to build it right and share each step with us i know it takes alot of extra time to share it all with us, i appreciate it.

Ok, I'll check and post back in here.

Trying to get it ready for paint. I have all the driveline except the Driveshaft and Converter. Waiting for parts I ordered to complete the rest of the fab work that needs to be done. The fuel cell is one that I need to finish up the trunk. I just ordered a Windshield Wiper Motor from a 06 Charger. The motor will mount inside the car up under the dash. It makes for a pretty clean install. This way you can clean up your engine bay and still have wipers!!
 
Ok, found it. Flange to Flange "Housing end to Housing end" is 47 1/2 , Brake offset is
2 1/2" each side. The finished measurement Face of Axle to Face of Axle where the back of your wheel will mount to or hit is 52 1/2". These measurements will work on an 8 3/4 or any axle for that matter, Dana 60 or whatever. With a mini tub in a 67-72 Dart this will allow you to run a 325/50/15 Tire on a 15x10 Wheel with a 5.5" Back Space. If you already have wheels then these measurements can be tweeked to your existing wheels and land you DEAD CENTER of the Fender lip and the frame rail. You will not need to trim the wheel lip either.

Not too much going on with the car. I am still waiting in the Peak Dash and the Fuel Cell to get here so I can finish the rest of the fab work.

Today I made some Body Dolly's so I can roll the car around for the Body & Paint when it comes time. I did not install the rears yet cause I have to pull the Rear end back out. My Rear body dollies are different than stock ones. Reason is I made rear torque boxes and they cover the factory front hanger bolt holes. Instead these will go where the lower front Link bar connects.

Thanks Scott! Think I'm gunna get my butt out there tomorrow morning and yank the rear end out to put the rear body Dolly's on and Tig weld the anti roll bar brackets on the housing that are just tacked on, gusset them and paint match the powder coat. I have black paint in a can that matches the color perfect.
 
man i figured you already had that dash he told me on mine he needed 15 more days a week ago i hope he was being honest with me

One of their tooling machines broke. They sent me a picture today of a dash but it was not mine, maybe it was yours. 8 gauges heater controls but radio delete.
