O.k. I may have a good result. I applied 0.040" preload on my driver's side lifters and the noise has gone. The valve train is the quietest I have had. Sounds great. The sideplay was adjusted to 0.013" on all rockers and that must of helped aswell. The 0.040" preload is exactly one turn of the adjuster on the pushrod. This turns measurenent is vastly different depending on thread pitch and where the adjustment is. On pushrod or on the fulcrum of the rocker. But was advised 0.050" preload. So 0.040" has done the job. In regards to this thread, thanks to all! Was not aware that side play was important. So I did learn something here. The preload on these lifters probably needed a touch more preload.
